bettina's picturebettina judd, the daughter of ella grissom, granddaughter of laura powell, and great granddaughter of ella myrick is an interdisciplinary artist who utilizes poetry, music, performance, and painting to shed light on the history and present of black women's experiences. as an artist and activist she works to creates spaces where black women can feel safe and share stories of strength and survival, facilitate healing, and redefine sisterhood. bicostal, bettina was born in baltimore and raised in southern california.

Bettina does writing and healing workshops as well as poetry readings.
